        Its construction started in 1862, under a project by Gonçalves & Sousa and it was only completed 1880. It was inaugurated on the 12 June of that year.

        In Moorish style, this room through is richness and luxury produces an effect of fascination, splendor and amazement in all those who visit it. This Room is widely recognized as the “crown jewel” of the Palace and a unique and exclusive setting.
