14th Century Palace

The Palace is situated within the walls of Évora, facing the Roman Temple. The Palace has always belonged to the family of the Dukes of Cadaval and features an exquisite combination of Moorish, Gothic and Manueline architecture.

The original Palace arose in the fourteenth century, near the Tower of Évora. Behind the Palace, you will find the extraordinary and unique pentagonal tower: the famous tower of five shields. Besides the outdoor gardens and the many rooms and halls that make up the building, the Cadaval Palace hold a unique collection of documents, furniture, sculptures, paintings and armoury, with some artefacts dating between the fifteenth and eighteenth century.

In the Church, it is possible to have weddings, family celebrations, as well as musical concerts with a capacity for up to 250 guests.
In the garden and courtyard of the Palace, there are many outdoor options for over 500 seated guests. In the courtyard, you will also find a tent where you can dine with approximately 400 guests. For a cocktail or conference, the capacity doubles.
