This Wine Estate is one of the best known properties in the Douro region. It is worth noting that it was the first to bottle wines under its own label. It was first mentioned in a document dated 17th April 1738, as being a property of D. Mariana Pacheca Pereira.

Nowadays, the Wine Estate offers the opportunity of visiting one of the most ancient "quinta" of the area as well as the ancient cellars and wine press tanks where the good red wines are produced.
