This golf course is located within the Quinta da Deveza, near Amarante, where magnificent landscapes and scenery abound, in particular, the River Tamega and the Mountains of Marão. Despite rising to 600metres above sea level, the 18-hole course, designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, offers golfers a gentle game. However, there are several well positioned bunkers and lakes, which somewhat difficult a few plays. Seeing that the course is located 600metres above sea level, the wind come into play.

The course features small, but fast greens. The 12th hole is 445metres long and a good strong shot is necessary in order to get over the lake on the right hand side and hit the green. However, the player must also pay attention to the left side, where there is another hazard, a fencing marking the out of bounds area.
