Located in Fonte da Telha, the course is 13 miles from the airport and runs through a pinewood. Designed by Frank Pennink, a renowned European golf architect, it is considered as one of the best golf course in Europe. This 18-hole course is comprised of 5 lakes. Due to its many trees, it has been called the “Wenthworth of Lisbon”. The course provides a variety of game situations, allowing players to use almost all their clubs. The 14th hole, perhaps the most famous one at Aroeira, is a short par 3, just 128metres in length, but where the lake acts as a “magnet”, attracting every single ball. The 15th hole, a par 5, requires positioning of both drive and second stroke. |
