Inaugurated in 2000, Castro Marim Golf was the first golf course to be built in the region. In the heart of the Sotavento Algario (the are between Faro and Spain), this place offers superb views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Guadiana River and the Castro Marim natural Reserve.

This course was designed by Terry Murrey, over an undulating terrain. Lakes, bunkers and the trees planted in the centre of the fairways make this a difficult course to play. Castro Marim Golf Features an original underground irrigation system (Leaky Pipe), the only in the World.
